The orange and yellow together is the 1851 Treaty territory. I consists of 60 million acres of the Teton and Yankton Sioux bands. The Yankton Sioux were not a party to the later 1868 Treaty.
The yellow by itself is the Great Sioux Reservation established under Article 2 of the 1868 Treaty for the Teton, Yanktonai and Santee Sioux bands.
The orange by itself is the remaining 34 million acres of 1851 Treaty territory surrounding the Great Sioux Reservation part of the territory that is involved in Docket 74.
The blue east of the Missouri River (between the Missouri River and James River) is the aboriginal title (non treaty) territory of the Yanktonai and Teton bands.
